Mothers are famous for their ability to multi-task. Here is my experience with raising two beautiful daughters who bring so much joy, leading our family in good nutrition and fitness, and providing income to build a better future. We consider ourselves to be blessed!

First Class
Tonight I am exhausted. I enjoyed my all-day class on resorts and Guests' expectations. I am just so tired! I got the kids bathed and fed and in bed, and I am thinking bed is looking pretty good right now too! Day one of the new journey was a success. Tomorrow is day two of a four day class. Get ready!

Ready to Go!
Chapter One in Florida has come to a close today. We moved from California to Florida last May, and nearly one year later I have moved on from my first job at Walt Disney World. I never stay at any one department in Disney very long!
This time is just like most times when I move to a new role. I am so ready for a new adventure! But I will sure miss the friends I have made. I will not miss Guests yelling at me on the phone about their gift baskets! But I will miss the silly things that made us laugh and the women along side me who have become my friends.
I have really learned to cherish friendships while they are happening, because change is constant, and nothing stays the same very long! I have memories in my mind, snapshots I consciously took with my eyes and ears. I will bring those with me, and keep in touch with the great women I have met, and let the door swing closed behind me on the bad things. Here we go!
Tomorrow is day one of training for my new role, working Front Desk at Disney's Art of Animation. I will be wearing my old maternity slacks I dug out of a box tonight, because the skin tight slacks from pre-pregnancy are gonna bust a button if I sit in those in a class all day tomorrow! Oh my! I have 20 pounds to go still to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. The question now is, how many ways can you wear gray maternity slacks??
I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!

The End of One Chapter
Tonight I am getting ready to close a chapter in my book. Tomorrow will be my last day working at Disney Floral and Gifts, after one year in that department. When I get home tomorrow afternoon I will get the kids fed and bathed and into bed, and get ready for a new adventure Sunday morning. For the next month I will be getting ready to open the new resort still being built at Disney World, Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
Despite being tired, a little stressed about daycare, and preoccupied, I am ready for a new adventure! The best is yet to come!
Have a great weekend!

A Great Start
This is an exciting night! We are on the eve of new beginnings, and the best is yet to come!
The kids are both asleep in their own beds. L- is asleep in her Big Girl bed. Now that she is 2.5 we have removed the side railings. K- is almost 6 months old and is asleep in her crib. They share a room in a happy little two bedroom apartment we have just moved to in Windermere to save money. There is a happy positive energy here, and the girls are BOTH asleep at the same time!
And so this blog was born. I sit here with a big smile on my face, really understanding how lucky I am!
I have always believed that women CAN have it all. We can love God with all our hearts. We can marry and love our best friends. We can have children and love them with all our hearts, and balance that with working to make necessary income. When I can balance all of these important elements, and in that particular order, I can find a restful peace and happiness. Even when there are still a few dishes in the sink, and my two year old is coughing in bed from her latest cold, and my body is aching from the latest work-out I did to shed the baby weight, I am sitting here knowing how blessed I am!
Every once in a while in life we can tell when we are on the edge of something BIG. Life is about to get exciting and bring big changes, and the best is yet to come! Here we go!
